Jason Kidd, whom signed to the Knicks just last week, was busted for drunk driving Sunday morning after smashing his SUV into a utility pole.
Kidd went out partying in the Hamptons Saturday night, and on his way home, about a mile and a half from his $6 million summer home we wrecked the SUV.
Luckly, Kidd was not seriously injured, but we can’t say as much for his Luxury SUV and the utility pole that snapped from its base.
According to his arrest report, when cops arrived at the scene, he smelled like alcohol, was unsteady, and had bloodshot and watery eyes.
Kidd refused to take a Breathalyzer test and when arriving at Southampton Hospital, he refused chemical tests. Once there, he was treated for minor injuries before being arraigned and released later Sunday.
A Southampton cop, stated on the arrest report “Defendant did not know what had happened in accident,”
